ATP announces the start of procedures for financial compensation of property owners affected by informal constructions

Council of Ministers Decision No. 383, dated 19.05.2010

On the determination of the procedures for distributing the compensation fund in value for private property owners affected by informal constructions, as amended.

The Property Treatment Agency (ATP) announces the commencement of procedures for compensating the owners of real estate properties affected by informal constructions.

Eligibility and Application Deadline

The process for accepting compensation requests will begin on 27.01.2025 and will remain open without a time limit. ATP invites all interested parties to apply for compensation through the e-Albania portal, under the online service "Application for compensation in value for private property owners affected by informal constructions."

Required Documentation for Application

To submit a request, applicants must upload and submit the following documents:

1. Request for property compensation in the format provided by ATP.

2. Inheritance certificate for all legal heirs, in accordance with the Civil Code.

3. Special Power of Attorney from all beneficiaries, authorizing the withdrawal of the financial value on their behalf.

4. Original bank statement confirming the opening of a bank account in the beneficiary's name.

5. Photocopy of identification document.

6. Payment receipt verifying the payment of the service fee of 2,000 ALL.
   
   

If a request is not accepted due to missing documentation during previous procedures, the applicant has the right to reapply. These applicants will not need to pay the service fee again if they can prove it was paid during the previous application.
